When your child starts kindergarten, you enter the Interpretive Stage of parenting. One of the main tasks of this stage is to interpret the world to your child. This is when you ramp up your efforts to teach character virtues and noble values, when you explain the world to your child, and when you focus on helping them create a moral center. You are your child’s earliest and most important and influential teacher. As a parent, you are tasked with protecting them from unwanted influences while exposing them to positive role models, good principles, and empathy for others. The Begin with the Children program emphasizes the importance of teaching essential virtues and noble values to your children, especially during the ages of 5 to 9 years old when a parent's influence is strongest.
